My parents might be getting DH and I one. They're hinting quite a bit about it and Dad is looking for some information.

We have Cox, so we don't have the same DVD-R options comcast people have.
I need to know what kind you have, how much it cost approx, whether it's the tv or pc version, and whether or not you like it.

Thanks!

Do you mean a DVR cable box?

We have one.

What are your options with Cox?

I love ours and it is not even the best version. I can DVR something but can't turn the channel. DH said the new ones that are coming out will allow you to record one program while watching another.

I hope this helps.

No options whatsoever with Cox.
I'm thinking of an actual recorder. I know some people that have the unit attached to the tv and other with it to their pc. not sure which option is best for us

Sorry. I thought you could get one through your cable company.

I don't know if we would invest in one if we couldn't get it through Comcast.

It sounds like you want to buy one and are looking for recommendations.

DH did mention that he has seen a lot of them at various in homes and that some were junk. I'll ask him later and get back to you.
