DVD Players

I noticed that BCV will have DVD players. Will they upgrade the other resorts so they will also have DVD players? Any thoughts or comments?

My DH noticed that too! I would think that they might replace them as the VCR's get older. My home resort it VWL, so it will probably be a while before they are replaced there.

I would guess that the answer will be Yes, but probably not for a while. I would imagine that in the next couple of years, the average DVD player will cost less than the average VCR. Also, sometime in the next 40 years, VCRs will be way more obsolete than record players are now. At some point, having VCRs in the units will not be cost effective.

So the question is not, "Will they upgrade?" but "When will they upgrade?"

I'm putting my money on 2006. (We can all come back to this thread in 4-5 years and I can collect my winnings. )

We were down looking at the BCV models last weekend, and the guide who showed us the models said that they are not planning to put DVD players in the other DVC Resorts.

I guess the correct question is when?
