DVD and/or VCRs?

Is it a DVD or VCR player in the villas?

I know the studios at BCV don't have them, but what about at VB or nay of the other DVC resorts?

As I understand it, the one bedroom and larger units at BCV have DVD players in the living room. All of the other DVC resorts have VCRs (again in the living room of the one bedroom and larger units). Actually, I'm pretty sure that the VCRs are only "players" (they don't record), but I don't know the name of those units - maybe VCPs??

None of the DVC resorts have VCRs or DVDs in the studios. According to the BWV management team at the last BWV annual meeting, there are no plans to put DVDs/VCRs in any of the studios as it would require a complete change out of the armoire furniture.

The BCV's have DVD players and the rest have VCR's. I am not sure what if any the studios have.

OKW has VCR that record - although you might have to call maintence to get it to work for you - the controller in the room does not work for this.

BWV I don't think they can record - but I think again you can call maintence and they can bring up one that will.

VB has the same as OKW.

I don't remember what HH has.

BCV has the DVD.

For some reason I thought I read the STUDIOS at VB have VCRs unlike the other studios which don't have any?

yes the studios and the inn rooms at VB have VCR and I think maybe the studios at HH,too? not sure about HH - but we were there when they were putting them in at VB - so that I am sure about.

Thanks. That would be the only studio I'd really care about, VB. I would want a player in the room in case we were stuck with alot of rain.
So at VB it was VCRs, not DVDs, then?
How big is the selection they have of movies? DVC members get them free, right?

Vero has VCR, OK selection of movies, nothing really new or cutting edge. Feb '03 we wanted to watch a movie in the bedroom,( kids were in the living room) called down to the front desk and they brought up a VCR for the bedroom no charge.

hey at least they are starting to get a better variety - at OKW they use to only have old Disney movies - and I mean Disney - not the other stuff producted by Disney - so just for kids!!!

lenshanem, I see you tried to move your trips to look like mine but now you lost your Diswish. IIRC, at the OKW Annual Meeting last December, they said that DVDs were going to be put into OKW as VCRs were replaced. Anyone else at the meeting remember this, or am I having a false memory? Doc, were you there?
