I think the addition of Dana as CCO is a very good sign. I think that means he and the board recognize his gaps and she can compliment him there and possibly even transition into the CEO role eventually as well. Im optimistic.

I agree, and I honestly think the current strategy supports this. WDW invests heavily into plusing up their existing parks and maximizing their footprints. You get the hype and popularity for a while with these new lands in MK, AK, HS, etc. That then gives them headroom to focus on the 5th gate.

I agree with your thoughts on Dana plugging the gaps in Josh's resume. However, Dana transitioning to CEO not going to happen, Josh is 54 years old, Dana is a young looking 61 year old. By the time Josh is ready to hand over the keys to the Kingdom (hopefully he is not pushed out for poor performance), Dana will already be sipping cocktails in her retirement home.

My hunch is, if all goes well Josh will last 7-12 years or so… Doubt Dana will be interested in assuming the torch then..

Either way, she will do just fine financially… or at least better than me…
