DVC's are allowed to use other resort pools?

Is this true or just a rumor ?

My guess SAB would not be included.


Could the BWV guest, use the CR pools, if they are their way back from MK?

Could the VWL guest and a CRV guest, use each other pools? Take the boat back and forth between the two DVC's on the lake. Would this also include the new GFV and PolyV pools?

From the member website under 'Membership Magic' > 'Perks' (WDW Tab) > 'Recreation & Relaxation' > 'Pool Hopping Information':

When staying on your Membership at any Disney Vacation Club Resort at Walt Disney World Resort, or Disney's Vero Beach Resort, you and any Guests staying with you are permitted to use most of the other Disney Vacation Club and Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools (in addition to the pool at the resort hotel at which you are staying) if they are not at capacity. If the pool you are visiting reaches capacity, you may be asked to leave in order to accommodate Guests of that Resort hotel. Please check with a host or hostess at the front desk of the resort you wish to visit before you go to find out about pool-access availability.

You must present your Magic Band or current Key to the World card with your "DVC Member" designation on it to use the other select Resort hotel pools. Pool hopping is not available at Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Uzima Pool and Samawati Springs Pool at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Stormalong Bay at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, the leisure pool at Disney's Beach Club Villas, the Lava Pool and leisure pool at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and the pools at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Resort hotel pools may become unavailable from time to time due to capacity limitations. Due to the high occupancy that is expected, you and any Guests staying with you may not pool hop during the following dates*:

November 24 - 29 (Mon - Sat)
Dec 20, 2014 - Jan. 4, 2015 (Sat - Sun)
February 14 - 21, 2015 (Sun-Sat)
March 21 - April 5, 2015 (Sat - Sat)
June 27 - July 11, 2015 (Sat - Mon)
September 5 - September 7, 2015 (Fri - Mon)
November 22 - 29, 2015 (Sun- Sun)
Dec 19, 2015 - Jan. 3, 2016 (Sat - Sun)
*Other restricted dates may be added based on projected pool capacity.

As a reminder, please be mindful of the limited number of pool chairs available, and refrain from leaving towels or personal items on unoccupied pool chairs.

I assume they can tell what DVC a guest is staying at by the magic band the guest is wearing.

We plan on renting from the new PolyV, if we can afford it, or the VWL in our price range,
Our family really did not like the WL pool, but loved the CR pool.
They are totally willing to try the Polynesian pools.

Not a problem coming back to the WL on a boat with a cover-up on.
From the CR pool, we had to walk though an A/C lobby to the elevator to our room. A bit chilly.

You cannot "pool hop" if you are not the DVC member. Merely staying at DVC does not give you the "perks" of membership - you must have the blue membership card.

I am actually really excited about this benefit. I plan to try out the GF pool ( actually the splash pad area) on the day we tour the resort XMAS decorations. I saw really good lunch reviews on a website ( that I am pretty sure get's it's name censored on the dis) for their pool side QS too.

The Poly pools are not allowing pool hopping. Only the resort magic band will open the gate to the pool. Just like BLT pool people are very conscience of people tailgating into the pool areas.

Only SAB have actual CM reading magic bands to ensure you are a guest of either YC, BC or BCV...no exceptions made. Someone was trying to convince the CM that the front desk at BWV told them that they could come and check out the pool. When said, no, that's wrong you can't come in to look (with two kids in swim suits), she said you are going to make my kids cry...SIGH, people. The CM did not let her in...I saw her at the slide walkway enterance trying to convince that CM, crying children seen walking through lobby going to the "parking lot". This was before magic bands, as I truly didn't think they were staying at BWV anyway.
