DVC'ers that have cruised with DCL

I am sailing on the July 24th Wonder. I was "wonder"ing if anyone ever received a room upgrade? If so, did it cost extra points?

Didn't get an upgrade on DCL, I do think that if they upgrade you, it's gratis. If you ask, and somethings available, it will be your charge.

We have gotten an upgrade of a category to a nicer balcony on Princess once, that was super.

Sailed on points Oct. 2003 in Cat. 7 - no upgrade but then, it was a great room anyway!

Sailed on points July 2003. Upgraded at the port to a verandah room for $300.

Sailed on points Aug 1999, they upgraded our room at no charge. It was a nice plus. There was also a bottle of champagne in our room compliments of DVC. But that was more than five years ago!
Last cruise we had two staterooms, and no upgrades. We didn't ask- probably should have.
Only goodies in the room was the beach towel for being a repeat cruiser.
