DVCers: Bring an extra set of Magic Bands if you have them!

I have learned a great use for multiple Magic Bands! Several times during our trip DH's health issues have forced him to not go to a park. I learned that DD and DGGD could use the FastPasses assigned to DH and me when I gave them a pair of our extra Magic Bands! This was true EVEN WHEN DH AND I HAD NOT USED MAGIC BANDS TO ENTER THE PARK! Maybe I should feel guilty and maybe this will change someday but I am happy that someone in our family could use our hard won Fast Passes!

Correct, at least from our experience. Perhaps this is a glitch that will be changed at some point. DH only did 3 rides all week, Soarin', Jungle Cruise and Tough to Be a Bug each once. So I was glad that someone in our group could get some value from his ticket. I will add that we both have AP tickets but I think I have read elsewhere that folks have done this with regular tickets as well.

There's a long discussion over in the theme park forum. From what I gather, park entrance is not required to use, or make day-of fast passes. Some people have found that magic bands without any ticket attached work, too. It seems like a loophole which will be closed soon considering how many people are taking advantage of it.
