Dvc?

I see so many posts refering to DVC. I'd like to have more info on the DVC such as program details, cost and benfits. Why did you join DVC and what is your oppinion of it.

I'll answer, but you may have more luck on the DVC board. Dh and I joined in 2004. We joined then because I was still a CM and got a huge discount. We know we are going to be going to Disney at least once a year and it made the most sense. Now that we have been in it for a year, I also realize that I can stay at a studio for only part of my points and rent the rest out to pay for other things, like tix, food and airfare. This makes the vacation cost us nothing (except for paying maint. fees and the principles pay off). We love DVC!!

DVC is the Disney Vacation Club. Disney's version of a timeshare. You use points not a specific week. We've had it since 2000 and love it. For the best details check out the DVC forum here on the DIS.

We joined DVC to force the man of the house (me) to take vacations. I was always too busy working to bother with time off.

Now, since I have made this purchase, I spend hours planning my annual trips.

DVC is the best thing I have ever done for myself & family. My wife loves it!
