DVC Without Children

We are in our early 20s, and have told our parents not to even ask about grandkids until we are atleast 28.....but we did grow up in families that went to WDW every year and we made a promise to each other to continue the same tradition... so we just bought AKV and our parents have 3 beautiful grandkitties for now!!!

We are about to become DVC members, but I am suddenly having second thoughts. We have no children and will not have children. Is this a crazy move for "single" people?

If your happy with the purchase that is all that matters.

Then wife and I bought when we were single.

Excuse me if I blurt out my first thought - What a SILLY question! We're a couple, now 60. We own two contracts. We ARE the kids. It's GREAT!

If you enjoy Disney World and you plan on going back regularly, then kids or non it's a great decision. My wife and I don't have any kids, nor do we intend to. Hasn't stopped her grinning like a loony on Cinderella's Carousel yet!

We bought DVC when our son was 9. We have lots of great Mickey vacation memories as a family. He is now 19 and a freshman in college and now DH and I are doing the happy dance and looking forward to Mickey vacations just the two of us. And then when we have grandchildren some day we will hopefully be sharing great vacations with children again.........although I always say there is no adults allowed in the Magic Kingdom! As soon as you walk under the train station your kid at heart comes out.

I love this post. When I see the front of the train station I know I'm in for fun!

We are in our 50s and just bought Your as old as you feel and Disney makes us 13 again

Disney is for adults. We purchased after our son was out of colllege. We have accumulated a lot of points since that time. We look at DVC as our other home in a warm climate especially in the winter. It is our winter vacation home, along with several other trips during the year. Our "friends" are our DVC friends that we have met through out the years.
