Yes, today is the first day everyone can book the Island Tower.

Dues are not final until the Annual Meetings on 12/10 & 12/11 and will be posted on or after 12/17.

I also got the screen making me wait before entering the DVC site. I don't recall this before, so perhaps it was one of the things they updated with their overnight outage? To be honest, now that I know they have it in place, I like it. It's a slightly better control on the number of people accessing and hopefully reduces the chances of complete failure of the site. Having just recently enjoyed planning and time at Tokyo Disney, I've gotten so used to the concept - I had to wait a few minutes every time I logged into the TDR site!!!

I’m guessing the vq was implemented at 8 am because I was in at 7:52 am and could modify my res then to an island tower room.

Ultimately I saved 105 points by not switching my BWV standard 1 bedroom for a PIT standard 1 bedroom

I think I tried a few minutes before 8am and was put into the queue. I had also tried at 7:45 and got the maintenance message.

Yeah I figured that was the reason. Although now I feel sort of dumb checking on the dues...I totally misread the statement on the site and thought it was "on or after 11/17" instead of 12/17 lol.

I got in at 8 and could have modified from 2 BR standard at VGF to 1 BR TP view at PIT for same # of points. I kept the VGF reservation but was surprised to see availability at PIT.

I thought overall the website was pretty good this morning. Very sensible to implement the VQ rather than have the website crash.

I had every intention of swapping multiple trips to Tower studios and even for standard view it just didn't make sense. The cost is so high compared to the low point resorts we're booked at.

Yup exactly the same 1 bedroom Standard vs 1 bedroom standard.

The difference is almost enough to stay 3 nights at XMAS (12/24 - 12/27) in a 1 bedroom standard at Boardwalk.

I know PIT has the extra bathroom but at those prices we can wait our turns to get ready.
