DVC Website Down Hard?

I just logged on to the DVC website. However, 99% of the links are not working, making it impossible to navigate the site.

I have three different browsers and all are exhibiting the exact same problems. I am using a mac, but that has never caused problems before.(Please, no computer wars. LOL)

I thought I saw a post about DVC website troubles a couple of days ago but I could not locate it. Sorry for the repeat.

Anyone else noticing this?

Thanks,
Bruce::MickeyMo

I haven't had any problems with the site, but I'm running Win98se. Most folks with problems do seem to have Macs.

Hey, thanks. Hopefully that is not the case. If it is, I wonder what DVC website has done to cause this?

I can not even contact them via the "Contact Us" link on the DVC website. I guess I will have to call.

Would the hurricane have anything to do with this? If so, I may just leave them alone for a while until everything stabilizes. I have absolutely no idea were their servers are.

Anyone else? PC or mac.

Thanks,

Everything works for me (PC/XP Pro)

Sorry you're having problems, hope you get it resolved quickly! ::yes::

Mac user here - can't use the links - they asked me to do a survey at the end of my browse on which they unfortunately rated "very disappointing". A collegue of mine who designs web pages says that most low end web designers do not even test their sites with a mac, foolish when more than 10% of computer users have them. I wouldn't have thought of DVC as low end though. Hopefully someone with both a mac and a pc will alert them of the problem and they will fix it soon.

BTW - could some helpful person forward me the htm page address with the VWL room plans? Thanks in advance!

I've noticed it's broken when using Netscape. IE seems to work fine.

I just posted in another thread, relating to this issue, that I was going to alert MS via the DVC website "Contact Us" on my PC at work. I will include in my notification a link to these discussions. Perhaps they will understand that more than one person is affected and that the problem is not on the users end.

I still urge eveyone else, who is affected, to notify MS however they can.

I hate to disagree, but I'm fairly certain that there are at least 20 or 30 mac users out there ....

;) :p ;)

I think he meant percent. I agree it's nuts to only test for IE or IE plus Netscape on Windows. It really sets everyone up since most viruses, etc are written for this exact scenario.

I called today and apparently a number of others did also. Tech support, and I use the term loosely, said the programmers made changes a couple of days ago and that's when the problems started, tell me something I don't know. Apparently the true tech people are in CA and certain CM at MS must relay the info to them. The person I talked to said to expect it to be fixed in a couple of days but I'd bet against that one.

Problems on DVC site here also.
Anyone out there an AP holder? When I try to enter my AP number on the general Disney site it keeps giving me a message that it is incorrect. It is NOT incorrect. This is also a new problem for me. I would like to know whether any other folks having trouble on the DVC site are having trouble with the Disney site as well.

I just went through the site without any problems at all. I tried almost every link, and had no problems.

How many more than 10 computer users have them?

Even though I'm stuck in the WIntel world, I would have guessed there are atleast 123 MAC users.

Back on track, even from a Windows world the DVC website is pretty disappointing!

Oops!
Come-on, you know I meant 10%!
It's like the bell curve with the brightest 10% on the exam!

On this past wednesday I got my Club ID# & my PIN number from MS over the phone. I then tried to log on, no luck - got the message that my Club ID # was incorrect. I called MS back and they couldn't log on using my numbers either. They told me that they would email 'tech support' and that they would call me in a few days - the CM said there have been "a few" people with this problem.

I have not yet heard from MS, or be able to log in :(

edited to add: XP Pro/PC

Fail to hire competent web designers.

Everyone,

I am now at work and have confirmed what we already knew, that the problem is definitely a mac issue.

I have contacted MS via email and have included links to these discussions.

I hope this is fixed soon.

Have Fun,

Bruce,
Thanks for taking the lead on this. Unfortunately I am on a Mac at work, running 10.2.8, and I can't get through to tech support from here either!
