The only auction I could find on Ebay at this time is for a set (one man's, one woman's). There have been 11 bids, current bid $600!!

Try HHI as well. They had some at Broad Creek Mercantile when I was there a week ago.

I just checked eBay again -- current bid is OVER $1600, with about 1/2 hour to go! Sheesh!!!

I may re-think my plan to actually wear mine!!!

Nah! I bought it to wear and that's what I'm gonna do!

I purchased a men's watch from HHI uesterday and they said it was their last one. She also mentioned that they had one ladies's watch left. HTH!

Wow, sounds like a whole lot of bidding going on near the end! I love my DVC, but not enough to spend that kind of money on watches!!

OMG! They are over $2200 with just a few minutes to go. So glad I got mine and I'm wearing it!

That's also a lot of money when you consider they could have just called the resort and got one for $125!

Just ended at US $2,643.98!

Are you kidding me? :earseek:

What idiot would bid 10X the retail value for what's not much better than a $50 watch with a Disney logo... I'm in the wrong business.

The winning bidder probably will default f they'd ever found out those things retail for $125 each. What are these people on?

I just purcased my DW's from HHI and they had a few left I called down and orderd hers with just my MC number name and address no other ID required. They didn't even ask for my DVC number. It was mailed out on Thursday and I hopefully should have it in a few days mind you I am sure I will be charged something from the delivery company for brokerage for getting it to me in Canada.

Do you think if someone bought a genuine gold brick at market price, put a Disney logo on it would be able to sell it at four or five times the going rate?

$125 for a watch at over 2600 dollars. Yikes I wish I had money to burn!!!!!. Sell that person your points for 300 each!!! And make him pay the closing cost.

P.T. Barnum is alive and well.

Well, just to be fair, the $2600 was for one man's and one lady's watch...

Yeah, don't you sometimes wonder where you went wrong in life that you don't have that kind of money just sitting around?????

;)

My guess is the two bidders who ran the price up were not serious bidders. Still, the next highest bidder still went to $600.

More than likely those were 'fake' bidders to try and get the value of them higher and then start selling more of them online. Seen that happen before with limited sports memorabilia too.

I hope that I can get my hands on one of these watches when I go in early October. ::MickeyMo

Try HH, I called the store, ordered on Fri. 8/20 & received it Mon. 8/23. Good Luck!
