DVC Wannabe with Questions

If we take a DVC tour when we are on our January 17 - 25, 2009 vaca and they quote us a price, incentives, etc, how long would we have to make our decision regarding that specific deal?


We are thinking we might prefer to buy in at VWL, but would still like to purchase through Disney if possible. How difficult is it to get Disney to sell you VWL? (We currently do not own any DVC.) And am I correct to assume that they would not offer any incentives to do so?

Our friends and I did that and DVC honored our tour prices even though it was several months after we returned home that everything was finalized. I'm not sure that you will be able to buy in at VWL through Disney (they are supposedly "sold out") but there are waitlists available for the sold out resorts. The only incentives being offered at this time are for SSR and AKV.

They will give you a couple months.

We added on at many of the sold out resorts. I don't think it will take long. Buy where you want to stay (VWL).

you should be able to buy from Disney at VWL. You might just have to waitlist, but it should be very easy to do. My guide has sold many of my friends and family at BWV and BCV because that is where they liked. I sent you a PM with more information.
