DVC waitlist question

HI. Hoping for some travelers personal experiences with DVC bookings. I have found a DVC member who has availability for 8 days of my request at BLT for 9 days. My last night is not available and I was advised that I could be waitlisted. Do you think the last night will open up. It's for early Nov 2016. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum. I'm pretty new to this board. Thanks!

The waitlist does work - especially for dates that far ahead. There is usually a lot of movement with DVC reservations as the time gets closer.

There are some villa types/resorts that will be more of a challenge (AKV Club level, some of the Standard View villas, BWV GVs, etc.) but if you have found a member willing to use the waitlist for your reservation it suggests that they are also confident the date(s) will open up.
