DVC waitlist jan 14

ive had to waitlist our last night, and flights have already been purchased....any suggestions on what to do if I don't get the waitlist? We would like to use DME to return to MCO, have any of you transferred from DVC resort to another resort for one night with out trouble? TIA

We do it all the time. If I can't get a night at the end (or beginning) of my trip I just book into a value resort for the night. If you go to luggage services at your first resort, they will transfer all your luggage to your value (or wherever you book on Disney property) and you can go to the parks or whatever you like. Check in online and/or just stop by the front desk at the value resort when you're ready to go to your room (after 4pm). You can set Magic Express to drop you at one resort at the beginning and pick up from a different resort when you're ready to go back to the airport. Disney makes it all very easy.

Don't give up on the waitlist but also book that back up room now. You can always cancel when the waitlist comes. Also, if you are staying at a resort with several different room options such as akl put in 2 waitlists - easier to stay at the same resort.

There is hope. We had a one night waitlist for January 15th, and it just came through yesterday. We did have a backup reservation though, just in case. I just cancelled the backup.
