Currently a new owner in DVC at SSR and very happy about it, but I am thinking of purchasing a Hilton resale from someone I work with. It is located in Las Vegas, Flamingo Hilton and would be a 1 bedroom/ 3500 pts / Gold season for $5k.

I realize this isn't high season, but would like to purchase to trade through RCI for winter skiing. Does anyone have experience with trading to ski destinations within RCI, and what do you think of your Hilton timeshare. Thanks in advance.

The best place to ask is on tug (www.tug2.net). It is the difinitive answer for all questions regarding timesharing, and the best $15 you will probably every spend.

There is a slight discrepancy in your description.
A 1-br gold is 3400 points.
A 2-br silver is 3500 points.

I enjoy my HGVC, but have never traded it thru RCI. (I would have preferred Hilton had used II instead.) I have had no problems trading within Hilton for Orlando, Las Vegas, and Hawaii.

Thanks for catching that, the one I would be purchasing would be 1 bedroom/Gold/3400 points. I think $5,000 is pretty good for 1 week during Gold season.

I agree that $5K for 3400 points is a good deal. That's $1.47/point. Buying new from the developer would probably be $4.00 to $5.00 per point.

Incidently, I'll be staying at both the HGVC Flamingo and the new HGVC on the strip in a week.
