Yes, the cards will say DVC member and day 1.

Actually, it says it will be embosed with 'Disney Vacation Club', and the day 1 thingy.

I saw that. But what will be the % rate? What are the incentives of getting a Disney Visa? Just so they get more of our money?

We never carry a balance on our credit cards, but I'm sure that the interest rate will be competitive.

We've gotten a lot of great deals by using cards that are tied to incentives. We saved a bundle on a GM car, and we've gotten airline tickets by accruing Delta miles.

I can't wait to see what Mickey money will earn us.:D

I agree here...this could be a great deal for those who don't carry a balance, but use and pay off the card every month, regardless of interest rate.

That said, since I am carrying a balance elsewhere I'd sure like to see a great rate that I could earn Disney rewards on the interest I am paying....otherwise we'll keep the balance where it is (or where the next better deal comes from until we get it paid off), work out a grocery budget and use the Disney card for that...paying it off each month and getting Disney rewards for eating.

I am very interested to see what the rewards are. We charge absolutely everything we can each month, and pay it off, so interest rate won't matter to me. I am disgusted with Northwest Airlines right now, so I am hoping this will be a good card to get and dump my Worldperks visa (which right now is doing nothing for me).

Does anyone have the link to the web site where we can sign up for 1st day DVC Member Disney Visa info? I know it was listed here in the past but the search feature isn't working. We haven't decided if we'll take the card yet but would like the info sent to us when the card sign-up is available. Thank you

If there no perks for DVC owners such as a discount off park admissions etc they are just another credit company. If DVC owners sign on it will automaticaly make a gazilion dollars for Disney in 3 to 4% commisions from every company you charge with. For all that I would think Disney could offer its DVC member a reaonable perk such as 50% off park admissions. Don't get the card just because it is Disney. Unless they offer you something tangible like a card that gives you frequent flyer miles the Disney card is just another credit card in my opinion.

I agree with BobH. if this card is just for discounts on hotels and not park admissions (passes, etc.), it's not worth it. I don't carry a balance on my credit card, but I am looking for a new perks card. I have been using gmcard (mastercard) and discover card. I don't want the gmcard anymore since the only gm cars I like are saabs and gmcard won't honor the 5% rebates on saabs (saab is now owned by gm). I am hoping the disney card will have some nice perks. I charge everything and then pay it off each month, so perks are very important, lol.
