DVC VIP Fastpasses?

So my nephew and his family are at WDW right now and they went to a DVC presentation. The guide told them that one of the perks for DVC is that they get 3 VIP fastpasses per person per vacation. Curious if this guy was just fabricating something to make the FP+ system sound like it was an added benefit for DVC members. My nephew has been using FP+ the whole time they are there so he knows how it works. I just found it interesting that he called them VIP fastpasses. Did I miss some kind of announcement?

Well, we certainly didn't see anything or hear anything about that on our last DVC stay a week ago. Would have been nice to have that added bonus.

If Disney wanted to do something special without charging us for it, fast passes would be easy to do at no cost to Disney.

The new "make you feel good about being an owner" guy has really been busy with his membership magic program so it may be true.

Probably a misunderstanding of a sales pitch. They used to give out VIP fastpasses for going to the a presentation or viewing of a property. They probably meant for a vacation or this vacation, but I doubt for the membership.

I heard them mention this while they were talking to another family last week. We stopped in a booth for stickers one day and the guide told my brother, he'd "make it worth your while." To schedule for an open house.
I remember getting a VIP fast pass a few years ago when BLT opened. It was good for three rides, any time, just walk up and use it. Then it's gone. I'm sure it's just an incentive for attending the open house, 1x....not for life.

It is true. They give DVC cards that have 3 immediate FP on them. There must be FP available for them to work. You put card in machine, out pops FP for immediate use.

When I did my last add-on, I negotiated these as part of my sale. When my cousin bought, they gave them to them in November.

All of the legacy (paper) FP Machines have been removed, so these cards are now useless.

When I bought our DVC a few years ago in California we each got 3 FP for just attending the presentation. Once I was approved for the loan and paperwork was signed my DVC guy (i don't know the proper term lol) gave us all kinds of goodies and merchandise as well as 4 more FP per person. I ended up giving some FP to a dad and his little boy he REALLY wanted to ride Space Mountain.

I think that's the twisting to the truth the salesman did here . They used to give VIP FP with sales but they would be useless in the new system and he is basically telling you what you and everyone else will be getting , but making it sound like a plus for DVC .
