My daughters (14 and 11) and I will be traveling with my brother this December. If given the choice, would you go with a 1 bedroom villa at AKL or a Studio Villa at Boardwalk?
My dilemma is that neither niece wants to share a bed with their uncle if we can help it...they'd be fine if they had to, just a preference understandably so!

In the AKL 1 bedroom, there is a king bed that me and my girls can share. In a Studio at Boardwalk (or any other resort), could I possibly bring a twin size air mattress for my 14 year old? Or is that frowned upon in the Disney world? We'll only be there to sleep and shower really, but I want to make it as comfortable as I can!

It really depends on your comfort level and if you want separate spaces (plus, with the 1-bedroom, a full kitchen and a washer/dryer). In both cases, you get three sleeping surfaces. In the 1-bedroom at AKV you will have a king bed in the bedroom and a queen pullout and twin-chair pullout in the living room, so you could either put your brother in the king and your family could be in the living room, or put your brother on the queen, one DD on the twin chair and you and your other DD in the king.

In the deluxe studio at BWV, you'll get a queen bed, a double pull-out and a single pull-down bed, so brother in the pullout, one DD on the single and you and other DD on the queen. I prefer the location of BWV, particularly with teens and tweens, but it just depends on how much room you would like.

Well, if it came down to people sharing beds...why couldn't YOU share a bed with your brother and the two girls share a bed?

But I see no problem in bringing an air mattress, if that's what you'd feel more comfortable with.

I would like to point out that the 1BR Villas at BWV only sleep 4. There is a king sized bed in the MBR and a queen sized sleeper sofa in the LR. There is not a pull down bed.

I would go with the 1 bedroom at kidani so you have the extra space and the extra bathroom. You and your girls can share the huge master bathroom and your brother can have his own smaller bathroom in the living area.

Sharing a studio at bwv would be tight, with everyone sharing one small bathroom and no privacy for anyone.

If you want to be comfortable book the 1BR at AKV Kidani (not Jambo) for all of the reasons already listed by others. With two girls the ages of your daughters, a little privacy is going to be essential.

OP is considering a 1-bedroom at AKV or a studio at BWV, both of which sleep 5. A 1-bedroom at BWV was never mentioned as an option under consideration.

The 1-bedroom, hands down. Your daughters could share the master with you or you could sleep on the pull-out chair while your brother uses the pull-out sofa. No issue bringing an inflatable mattress either.

Kidani also gives you two full bathrooms, one for girls and one for the boy! It will save you lots of time getting ready in the 1-bedroom compared to the studio.

I'd do the 1-BR at AKL, let your brother have the King and you and your daughters utilize the other sleeping surfaces.
