If we are staying at SSR and want to go to B&C for something to eat, can we valet park for free at BCV? If so, do we tell the guard at BCV we want to valet park to eat at B&C? Also, what do you usually tip when picking up your car?

Thanks for your help!

we did at wilderness lodge in Nov we just showed our DVC card. They didn't even check to see if we were staying onsite at a dvc resort (we were)

Oh yeah we give about $2 I don't know the rule but that is what we give :)

Yes. Just show the valet your blue DVC Membership card.

No need to give a reason. Doubt they even care.

We usually tip $2 - $3 both on drop off and pick up. We tip more if the service is exceptionally quick or if it's raining or if valet helps unload the trunk.

Best wishes -

Doesn't matter. The free valet perk is one of the few that doesn't require you to be staying at a DVC resort on points to take advantage of it. You don't even have to be staying on site.

Best wishes -

Just for everyone general info regarding Valet service............DVC cards work everywhere except the Grand Floridian..........you will have to pay full price there to park if you decide to eat at the cafe or go see the life size Xmas Gingerbreadhouse

The free valet perk for DVC members is only for the DVC resorts that have it - i.e., BCV, BWV & VWL. If you have gotten it for free elsewhere, someone made a mistake in your favor.

Best wishes -

Just watch out for the parking Nazi at BC.

We went to eat at B&C for lunch while waiting for our villa at WL to be cleaned.

The lady at the guard shack gave us an attitutude about (self) parking there. Then we told her "Fine, but were DVC members and that lets us valet park for free." She had to let us in then...

It wasn't like we were parking there to go to the parks..we showed her our voucher for lunch.

(we should have ordered her a sundae from B&C and had it sent out to the guard shack.)

the only place we could not valet was the GF...........we did everywhere else with no issues.........i did not know that it was only the DVC resorts..........so maybe they extended us some magic?

I just wanted to report back and say that this worked out wonderfully last weekend. No problems whatsoever!

THANKS EVERYONE!

If you get the Disney Dining Experience Card, you can get free valet by showing your dining receipt for that resort (you pay when you pickup the car at non-DVC resorts).

VERY good to know! I have to read more about the Disney Dining Experience card. I have a feeling it would be very helpful for us.
