HI my parents are coming in for one night and hopefully staying at the BCV with us in their own studio. My question is whether they can buy UPH for their one day there. IF so does anyone know how much that would be? We are not DVC owners but we rent from a very good friend so I am not sure if DVC renters can get any breaks on UPH. I figured I would ask those who have "homes" here! Thanks for any information.

If they have their own reservation for just the one night, they can get an UPH for the one night and two days. If they don't have their own reservation and are just staying for one night in your attached studio, they could only get the first and last days of the entire reservation dropped.

DVC members get a 10% discount, but renters technically are not entitled to that discount.

Do you happen to know how much that would cost? Since they are coming in half day can they get the first day dropped? They will have their own reservation. Just trying to decide if we want to buy PH separately.

Thanks!

So when my family of 8 comes to stay with us in a two bedroom, am I allowed to use my DVC discount to buy them park hopper passes?

The 10% discount only applies to the Ultimate Park Hopper tickets (formerly known as Length of Stay tickets). If your family wants UPH tickets, then yes, you can use your discount to buy them tickets.

The member discounts generally apply to members and their guests. The CMs often allow renters the discount as well, but technically, renters are not entitled to DVC perks.

Best wishes -

Among others. We got it one time when we were staying on cash back before we even knew what DVC was. The CM just gave it to us because we were staying in the Villas.

Technically it's only for those in the same villa as the member but as noted, they usually extend it to other guests, etc.
