Hi Everyone,

We are dvc owners. I would love any suggestions for planning a special trip.
Here is the scenerio:

Triplet teenagers graduating High School. We have promised them for a few years now, that we will gift them points for a vacation.

They have choosen to

1) invite a total of 4 friends

2) stay in a grand villa in SSR

3)three nights four days

My DH and I along with our youngest daughter, will be there the same time
frame. We will be staying in a seperate room.

Our income is limited, but I would like to plan something special. I am hoping to have a special cake delivered to one of their meals. I am hoping DH & I can prearrange to pay for a dinner for them as wells. Maybe have something special delivered to the room.
I am also planning on making some personalized tshirts for them as well.

Any ideas? Discount ideas? Planning ahead ideas?

Will you have a car? If so, why not get a nice cake from Publix or Wal-Mart? It would save Disney prices.

As far as pre-paying a dinner, I assume it would be for the entire group--the triplets and their 4 friends. What you can do is find out the approximate cost of the meal before hand, and depost that amount to their room charge account. I don't know if a restaurant will take an actual pre-payment. Another option would be a Visa or MasterCard prepaid gift card.

Will your triplets be 18 yo at the time of the trip? If not, at least one person staying in their room has to be 18 to be able to check-in, and I'd put that name first on the reservation. Be sure to mention to the front desk when you check in that they are celebrating an event, they may send some balloons and a card (or cards).

I'll second Chuck's suggestion of Publix for a cake. I got a birthday cake from Publix last summer that was excellent. It was chocolate cake, chocolate frosting, chocolate mousse inside with chocolate decorations.

They'll be old enough for the Segway tour.

My DD14 (sophomore now) plans to spend Grad. week in WDW with a friend of hers & she's already told me that the Segway Tour is at the top of their list!

*It is fairly expensive though. I'd talk it over with the kids & if they want to do it, I'd ask their parents to help pay.

Thank you everyone. How elaborate can Publix make a cake. I order cakes up here from our local supermarket. They are mostly just regular cakes with plastic ornaments or eatable picture transfers. I was hoping for something to make the occassion more special than a birthday cake. Can Publix make it similiar to the disney ones do you know? DH & I hopefully will have a car.

Also, what is the segway tour?
