DVC trading amongst members question

Can anyone tell me how trading with other DVC members is accomplished. For example I own at BVC (Home resort) and was looking to stay for 6 nights in May 2004 in HH, would I look for a HH home resort owner who is willing to trade equal amount of points or do we just make the reservation for each other using the 11 month window? I am a little confused on the trading of points as a new member. If points were to be traded with a other home resort owner, would I now have home privledges(11 months resevations) at that new resort because I traded in these points from another member or does the reservation still have to be done by the "Home" member regardless of traded points?

I hope you can make some sense of what I am trying to understand. I confuse myself the more I think about it.

If you have HH points transferred to your account by a HH owner/member, you will have home resort resrvation privileges at that resort at 11 months.

You could also simply have a HH owner make a reservation in your name for your trip and you could reciprocate with a similar number of points for a reservation.

Either method would work.
