DVC tour

We are going on the tour in June. We are staying at WL so thought we would go on one of our rest days.

Are certain tour times/days hard to get? We are checking in on June 13 and wanted to take the tour on Monday, June 16 maybe around 10:30 or so (before lunch).

Yes thats the only place they do DVC tours is at SSR.There is a I think a model room set upo at BWV but I cannot swear to it though.It might have closed

so the only place they are currently doing tours is SSR? about how long is the tour?

Thanks! I actually called them in January to schedule it (I thought you had to do it way in advance) and the woman who answered laughed at me. I could have sworn I read they get booked up. Must have been something else.

You do have another option if you just want to see the rooms. Most (maybe all) of the DVC resorts have an open house room. You have to go to the resort and then visit a room within the resort. I have been in SSR, BWV and VWL. Sometimes they have an advertised open house in the evening or afternoon. You just drop in and look around. This way you do not have to get signed up with a guide or spend a lot of time. BUT you do have to visit all the resorts at certain time. Otherwise, you can always ask to see a villa at the front desk before check-in time; its not likely, but if they are not busy they may let you in or tell you what time the next open house is. You also won't get a nice dream book this way. Oh, and if you go to the sales center located at SSR to do your tour, they only have an SSR room and a AKL room with no windows. Gets interest in DVC, especially for those who may have never seen how nice/big the rooms are since they wouldn't look past the rack rate. We were just in it Dec 21 or 22,2007.

Yes, at SSR there is both a SSR and AKV (Kindari Village) room across from the sales center in a building labled "Theater."
