I think I have finally convinced my DH that the vacation club is something we "need". My question is what do you do with your child (I have a 16 month old) while you take the tour? I am sure other people have had their children with them, what did you do? Thanks for any advice!

Well my then 4 year old went off to play in a room with some CMs and my then 13 month old came with us for the tour and lecture. I have to say our Guide was wonderful in reading our 13 month old and he really spead up when she was getting cranky. He gave us stuff to read and we called and talked later and he answered any questions we had. Our guide is Randy I think his last name is Cook.

This was one of the best parts for us (but my kids were 8, so I am not sure if there are age restrictions). They have a 'kids club' for the kids to hang out in while you are with your DVC agent. There are CMs in there watching them, and my kids didn't want to leave when we were all done. But when we were done, they gave them a bag of cotton candy. Had it not been for this 'service', we probably would not have stayed long enough to make a decision (just wanted to pick up information, but when we saw the kids club and how happy the kids were, we did the tour and signed the papers! We were SOLD! :p ).

My 4 kids ages 3, 4,5 had a great time in the club 5 years ago...they still talk about going back again some time....if you allow they can get a treat (cotton candy) for FREE when they leave....my kids want to go back just for that I think...

The CM staff is very wonderful....

When we took the DVC tour in Nov. our 2yo stayed with us. Our guide gave her some paper and crayons to use while she talked to us. DD loved "visiting" all the model rooms. Oh she also brought into the presentation part of the tour a few cookies and a drink from the lobby. And at the end she got a big bag of cotton candy, salt water taffies, stickers, and more cookies to take with her! She was very pleased, of course. We spread the treats out for the rest of the week.
