DVC Tour Referrals

Does DVC have a referral program that rewards members if their name is given at the time of the tour scheduling? I know the person taking the tour gets fastpasses and sometimes a gift card. No big deal if not, just thought I'd ask.

I'm a resale member and my sister is visiting WDW in a couple weeks. She's WAY more of a WDW expert than I am but still has a lot of interest and questions about DVC. We're thinking of just scheduling her tour ahead of time so she can do it on arrival day, but we also want to make sure that whoever is working the DVC info kiosk at her resort gets credit too. I assume they all work on commission and have quotas, so we don't want to interfere with someone making a living. It doesn't cost anything for someone to get credit for signing her up for a tour.

That said, it is very doubtful that she would purchase anything during the trip and far more likely that she takes the buy-resale-then-add-direct route, but just in case.

Should I call the salesperson with whom I first had a meeting last summer? Truthfully I didn't make a purchase from her, but would likely reach out to her if/when I'm ready to add direct.

Look on the member website under My DVC Membership is an item labeled Dream it Forward. That's their current rewards program. There is an online form to fill out with information on the person you're referring. Note the info must be provided before their first contact with DVC--if your sister requested a DVD or other materials 10 years ago, that contact may already have disqualified you.

The program is only available to residents of certain states due to local timeshare laws. Rewards are unspecified and I've yet to hear of a single person earning one. The terms and conditions only states that the reward is "...a non-monetary item or service, such as dining or entertainment, which will have a value of at least $50 and which an eligible Member will receive if one of his or her Introduced Guests purchases an Ownership Interest from DVD."

There is a bunch of other fine print too. No harm in filling out the form, but keep your expectations in check.

Cool thank you! I think she may have contacted them in the past for basic info so I’m likely disqualified. Would’ve been pretty sweet to get $50 worth of stuff if i could swindle my sister into spending 30Grand+. !!
