We're going down to WDW at the end of March and I'd like to arrange for a DVC tour to see the different properties. A couple of questions:

1) Is there a 'best' way to arrange this?
2) By taking the tour now and not purchasing, am I locking myself out of future discounts? Would I be better just to browse around on my own?
3) Does DVC give any freebies to take the tour (i.e. fastpasses, free dinner, etc?)

Thanks!!

1. DVC Guide will only tour you through SSR. Any others you can try on your own. We did this on our last trip. Some locations would let you in to take a look, others would not.

2. If you take a offical tour you will be assigned a "Guide" who will be on record as yours unless you force a change. You might be better off reading several Guide posts and deciding on one before you go. We changed to a different Guide and are very happy with her. If you would like a referal let me know.

3. We have noticed that better freebies, if any, are obtained from the resort contacts and not from the DVC office. After you decide on a Guide, check in with the DVC desk at your resort to set up an appointment with your Guide. They will send a van to pick you up. Should take about an hour for the tour.

Have fun. Read the :disrocks: boards, and :welcome: Home.
