DVC to DL

Does anyone know where to find info on trading DVC to DL? We are planning a meican rivera cruise sept 2010 and we are coming out a couple days early and are going to visit DL. TIA

What do you mean trading? You can just call Member Services and use your points for the villas when you're inside the 7 month period, or if you want to stay at DLH or PPH, use the points for that. Points charts should be on dvcmember.com for all of 2010.

You should be able to get the hotel if you can't get DVC.

I am not a member but I was going to rent points from someone else, but I need to know how many to rent. KWIM

The point calculator over at the DVC board has not yet included the VGC points. Depending on your travel dates in Sept the point schedule is:
Sept 1-4: (per night)
Sun - Thur
Studio - 23
One Bedroom - 46
Two Bedroom - 62
Three Bedroom - 134

Fri - Sat
Studio - 40
One Bedroom - 80
Two Bedroom - 110
Three Bedroom - 235

Sept 5 - 30 (per night)
Sun - Thur
Studio - 15
One Bedroom - 28
Two Bedroom - 40
Three Bedroom - 83

Fri - Sat
Studio - 27
One Bedroom - 49
Two Bedroom - 70
Three Bedroom - 148

I've stayed at the GCH many times with points and it was really pretty easy getting in. It was also great that they didn't charge the $95 booking fee, hopefully that won't go away for those who want to book the DLR hotels.

I just called this morning to try to get a studio for 7 nights, beginning over Memorial Day weekend. I thought I was NEVER going to be able to get it - maybe a few nights, but not the whole week. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to get all the nights I wanted, no problem! This will be the first trip to CA for DH & me, so we're REALLY excited!
