Dvc title change after divorce

Please can anyone point me in the right direction. I am a UK dvc owner currently going through a divorce. My ex has agreed I get to keep our Disney points but I have no idea how to change them over to just my name and how much this is going to cost??

Call member administration and they will send you the forms needed to make this change. I found myself in this situation many years ago, but fortunately I got to keep the dvc ownership. As I recall, there was a nominal cost to make this change, but for the life of me, I can't recall the amount. Member admin can walk you through it. I'm not certain about non-US transactions and how your country handles this at your end though. How this helps a little through a very trying time. Best of luck.

It'll have to not have a mortgage to change it. You'll need the forms they will send you then send it in for ROFR. Then you'll need a deed and recording. Not that difficult to do but if you want someone to do most of it for you, there are companies that'll get the price down to around or under $200.

I am in the process of doing this from Canada. It has cost me about $525 US using a title timeshare transfer company. I never even looked into doing it myself.

As Dean above said, there cannot be any mortgage on the property. I had to pay off the loan before I could begin the transfer process.
