DVC tickets

I purchased hoppers through park savers. I've never done a ticket upgrade and wanted to make sure I have the process correct. We need to enter a park and then do the upgrade right? Can we go to guest services inside the park? We want to upgrade to the DVC annual pass special they have. DH and I will both have our DVC cards with us. Due to some changes in our plans we moved our flight to earlier in the day so I'm hoping we can go Saturday night and just get this handled so we are ready do to Sunday morning for our regular plans. DD gets a DAS pass too so I was wondering if we could do it all at the same time. And does it matter which park? I wasn't sure if they would want to check out MK Saturday night for a bit or they may want to go to Epcot to world showcase.

Not necessary. You can upgrade prior to park entry and the price difference will be the same (as long as the CM is doing the transaction correctly).

Can we go to guest services inside the park?

You can do the upgrade at any Park Ticket Window or Guest Relations Location. There are Guest Relations Locations outside of each park entrance (including IG & Water Parks), one inside each the major theme parks, plus the TTC and Disney Springs.

The DAS can only be done at Guest Relations. Everyone needs to be present so they can scan MagicBands (or cards) to link the entire party together in the DAS system. Once setup, it will work at any park during your stay.

Ok thank you! I was hoping we could set up the DAS and upgrade at the same time but its two different places. She gets the DAS each trip but we've never done a ticket upgrade so I wasn't sure. Thanks!

Yes as long as more days are remaining you will be credited the full amount towards the purchase of the AP.

If no more days are remaining then you have to upgrade before exiting the park.

The DVC ticket is strange in that it’s valid for six months from first use. Most tickets must be upgraded within 14 days of first use. If you’re in that time period, yes, you can upgrade. If you’re beyond 14 days but within the six months; maybe, I don’t know if you’ll be allowed to upgrade.

Keep in mind that upgrading forfeits the original discount. You’ll get a credit of the price you paid towards the cost of the AP.

I'd expect it follows more along the lines that a non-expiring ticket upgrade did - must be done in the first 14 days. Even if it were allowed later, which I believe is very unlikely, it would have to backdate to the day of first use.
