I keep hearing about the Theme Park Discount DVC Members get for Annual Passes? A few questions

1. How much is the discount?
2. By Annual Passes do they mean for a specific trip (i.e. I can get discounts if I go once a year?)
3. Do we get discounts to all parks (including water parks?)
4. How many people on your trip can get the discounts?

1.

http://allears.net/pl/apass.htm

Code:
Pass Type Guest 10+ Guest 3-9 DVC Member 10+ DVC Member 3-9
Annual Pass $696.51 $696.51 $563.39 $563.39

2. annual means it covers a 12 month period. if you cannot fit 2 trips into a 12 month period, you might as well get MYW passes - but there are no DVC discounts for those.

3. per mousesavers.com, Disney Vacation Club members get a $4 discount on adult admission and $3 discount on child admission to Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.

4. DVC discounts would only be good for those in your household.

I currently have an AP that will expire June 7. I will be a DVC owner by then... hopefully. Would I be eligible for the DVC annual pass renewal rates? Which, I believe are lower than the regular AP renewal rates?

If you are member at the time you purchase your renewal you are eligible for the DVC price. And yes they are lower than the regular prices. Per All Ears, includes tax:

Annual Pass Renewal $ 590.01
DVC renewal $ 478.19

What if you are changing pass types? We have the FL resident seasonal pass and want to buy the AP. Can we get the DVC renew price?

At renewal time, tou can upgrade/downgrade to any level of pass you are entitled to and pay the renewal rate for the new pass level selected.

The prices for the Annual & Premium Annual Passes are the same for both FL Residents & DVC Members. As a FL Resident, you would be eligible for the monthly payments on the FL Resident AP.

awesome. That makes things a little less tight since we will have only 5 days left on our AP for our June trip. So, if the pass expires June 7 is that the same date the renewed pass starts even if I purchased it a few days later? I really wish they had a monthly payment option for DVC members, it would make things much easier!

You can renew up to 60 days before or 30 days after. But the date of activation will stay the same as the year you first purchased. So it would always be June 7th expiration whether you renewed 60 days before or 30 days after.
