DVC Thanksgiving ripoff meal

If I was at Disney on days like Thanksgiving, Easter or Christmas that would be one day i'd use my DVC kitchen and cook in. Restaurant quality in general dips dramatically those days.
that's cause you got to know where to go. certain places have diff staff and such. I always ask the manager what is going on with his restaurant on a holiday. the ones that I know and can trust their answer. we are eating at yatchsman cause I know the regular staff will be there and we like it there so we know we will get a good dinner. one year we did cal grill, before I knew they changed staff, and it was the worse dinner I ever had. we were so dissapionted. since then I always ask.

We did the buffet at Captains's Galley at the YC once and they ran out of food for the later diners. We were in the early bunch closer to noon and had plenty. I think this was a Christmas day dinner.

Last year we did Thanksgiving dinner from Cracker Barrel. Ordered it a few days ahead and they were doing a lot of business on Thanksgiving day!

We went to the DVC Thanksgiving dinner last year. I think it may have been even more expensive then, can't exactly recall. It certainly was NOT worth it, felt like a very basic business convention meal. Would not recommend.

We also attended the Thanksgiving dinner last year and will NOT be attending this year. While the food was good, the service lacked a lot. We had stacks of dirty dishes on our table before anyone came to take them away. You had to line up for the characters which meant your food got cold. The desserts were basically worthless except for the kids rice crispy treats. Initially, there was no ice for the ice tea and you had to drink your ice tea out of a paper cup. Coffee and water were available but, the thing that really got me was the fact that I had to pay for any soft drink that my family wanted. And it was not free refills! You got a can and if you wanted more to drink, you had to go buy another can at $2.50 each. I had just paid almost $100 per person for a meal and then had to pay for my soft drinks.
