I will be very disappointed if this turns out to be across the board! I like glasses for cold drinks and mugs for coffee/tea.

I do not get this you merly that you were in a studio.
You do not get glass ware or pots and pans or real dishes they have always been paper BWV BCV all do the same thing and have for years.
Just like you do not get a washer and dryer.
You had glasses because the studio you stayed in was a lock off and someone had it as a two bedrrom and mousekeeping did not do there job.
Plain and simple it is not a big change you just took notice
While Disney likes us to believe they are trying to be green, I have always seen the re-using towels scenario to be a cost saving move on their part. Think of all the detergent, water, and manpower they save by convincing us that re-using towels is something Disney would like to do for the environment.
This is not true! I was not in a lock off at BWV & OKW in 2005 when we first rented and we had glasses and mugs.
We were at SSR & BCV last summer, also not in a lock off, and had glasses and mugs!
Just wait till the timeshare competition gets hold of this info. "With us you get real dishes, Disney gives you cardboard, plastic and styrofoam."
And I'm totally fine with this! I don't mind reusing my own towel for a few days. We do this at home. Everyone has there own towel and they hang it up when they are done. It saves on the envirement and on the towels themselves! But I want my glasses and mugs!![]()

The OP mentioned styrofoam and not nuking them and then in post 11 someone who is at the BW now was offered a foam cup. Since the OP seemed to correct about most everything else so far, as reported by numerous people writing e-mails to MS I have no reason to doubt them. I've stayed at numerous hotel chains in the past that had styrofoam cups near the coffeemaker. On a side note, it seems we have gotten stuck on that they are using "styrofoam", I am not sure this is true or if this thread just ended up adopting that belief. I find it surprising because I don't know of any Hotel chain that uses styrofoam cups, but almost all use the plastic cups that are individually wrapped. While this is in no way "deluxe", it is slightly better than styrofoam.

I can see it now, 50 mugs and glass swap threads.![]()
Ok--here's an evil thought--there was some t.v. show (Jericho?) that was canceled and brought back by the network because fans inundated the network with peanuts . . . .
what if we all mail a package of styrofoam cups to Member Services since apparently DVC is hurting so bad financially that they can't supply "real" glassware/mugs to studios . . . . ?
