DVC studios - fewer amenities

Its not the first and won't be the last. There are a number of things in the past that have been taken away.....this just adds to the list.

Its not the first and won't be the last. There are a number of things in the past that have been taken away.....this just adds to the list.

And there's a good possibility nothing will get done about THIS change, either.

But CERTAINLY nothing will get done if nobody speaks up. All we can do is voice our disapproval, let people know what's going on, and hope Disney decides to change their mind.....

None here and I'm getting ready to send another e-mail. It is very frustrating to know that not only our voices aren't really being heard but they're not important enough to respond to.

we are a family of 4 and studios work fine for us....until the kids get older. we don't really do alot of eating/drinking in our villa. maybe cereal in the morning. this does not really affect us.

i understand the complaints though...it does seem rather cheap to have plastic cups and utensils.

are the little bottles of palmolive gone too.? i do use those for cleaning sippy cups and binkies etc. thanks.

According to the news posted on allears.net, and a DVC spokesperson, YES..the dish soap is going to go away, too.

According to what was reported, even the soap is gone because there's nothing to wash. We have our granddaughters with us next month and between sippy cups, baby bottles, and feeding spoons, it looks like we'll have to use shampoo to wash them.

Actually I think that this change will be reversed. I was on the side that this was a change that was not going to be negotiable when I thought it came from WDW and affected all resorts. But if this is merely an internal DVC change, the odds of it being reversed are very favorable. It will not in essence be costly or require additional investment by DVC.....I think that this was proably something that many people would not really care about.

Not to mention the number of people that have been calling about the cleanliness of the glasses or requesting paper products after seeing these news reports. I also recall a thread recently where members were complaining that the dish soap was watered down or not completely full, expressing their outrage that "we are paying for this". It is a hard lessen that if you call and complain about every little thing....something big could change that you will REALLY care about (like MF fees or something like this, that they probably thought members might want).

For the record I did send my email.....once I got my questions answered about other resorts.

Lucky you, if you'll be there for both of them. I arrive on the 30th, so it seems that it's a good way to begin my vacation, especially if the room isn't ready. They do start at 4PM according to the Member site! Hope to see you there!

I went to a Welcome Home Wednesday last month....IMO..it juse seemed like a DVC love fest..little game show....your favorite DVC memory question is asked to the contestants....that DVC lady with the red hair...a free hat on your way out...oh , lemonade and snacks....

Just me and Dd went...DH would have probably been bored.....but go for the baseball cap...lol...

Uh yeah, that was me, like 20 pages ago - I inserted the law enforcement bit as part of a joke reply, because I thought MS' tone in that sentence was odd and forboding.
