Hi.

Is there a thread I am missing for those of us that have only DVC stay booked and waiting to purchase tickets?

I have a trip planned in November, six adults in a three bedroom GV but none of us have park tickets.

Is there any hope that Disney will be letting us purchase tickets for this year, specifically November?

Thank you.

Ticket sales are reopening "later this summer" - not sure whether that means August or September, but I'm sure it's dependent on how booked the park reservations get after the existing reservation + ticket folks have reserved their park days. The best we can do is keep checking the updates for when new tickets can be purchased.

The added frustrating thing is those of us (like me) who have family members WITH valid AP's and some without. My SO / travelling partner has her AP. However, mine expired just before the pandemic since we were on different schedules due to a business trip. So she has parks reserved. But I may not be able to get into the same park?

Even worse are those parents (not my situation) where the parents may have AP's, but not the kids. Or Vice-Versa. Really, Disney? You want the 5 year old kid to stay in the room while Mommy and Daddy go into the park? I mean it sounds kinda fun when you put it that way, but....

I am not sure of a better way for them to have handled this. I get why they did it this way. It's just.... frustrating.

Similar boat here. No tickets for a December trip. I’m wondering how it will all work out.

They have to open sales up to us sooner. What about the 11 mth window people trying to book. I have a Jan trip booked. And my 11 mth window for next June is coming up.

My situation also. Only, my stay is booked for September. Since I don't know for sure, but I suspect I'm SOL, I'm going to cancel (when I can force myself-after years of having a BCV studio for the F&W, it just doesn't seem "right" to cancel). I'd imagine that for November, you'll be able to buy tickets at least a couple months beforehand.

They announced tickets going on sale for 2021 on the 28th. Which is not far off from when they usually do this stuff. Package and ticket availability for 2020 came out in June 2019.

The announcement was that PACKAGES would go on sale for 2021 starting this week (and I believe they bumped it up to the 24th). Nothing about buying tickets without a package. I think someone else posted that if you already have reservation only for 2021 you will be able to buy tickets, but I haven't had a chance to look myself. We are planning to book a package anyway so i didn't read things that closely at the time.

What phone number should we call on the 24th to add tickets? I know it says to call the Disney Reservation Center but there are so many numbers on that page.

Will we have to make a phone call? No more purchasing tickets online?

was in the same situation with rooms and no ticket for other guest.
I had 3-5-day park hopper plus not used so assigned them to my guest and in order to get reservations for the park I had to buy 2 annual passes. And got 5 park reservations days today so guess i'm lucky.
Now we use 5 day hopper plus but can't hop thats loosing a lot of money Do you think they will offer a refund or a credit for the difference for the cost of the hopper?
Annual pass & can't hop they should have discounted the AP price you think?
This is the product they sold me but can't be used to what it was sold for
I wa forced to go because I cancelled my July 4 reservation my points would have expired by Sept so I had to book

It says packages and tickets

Planning a New Trip for Next Year: By June 28, all guests will be able to purchase new Disney Resort hotel packages and theme park tickets and make their park reservations for arrivals starting in 2021 as the phased reopening of the theme parks and Resort hotels continues. Guests will be able to view park reservation availability on DisneyWorld.com prior to purchasing their tickets.

Look below for important dates to keep in mind on when you can book your theme park reservations. The reservation system will open daily at 7:00 a.m.

Thanks but I take that to mean on June 28 you can buy tickets for 2021. It doesnt mention 2020.

They have to do something for DVC. They can’t just throw us out there without a raft. Do you know how many thousands of people they will mess up to say it kindly as 11 month windows open up. I mean it’s going to be messed up forcthe next 6 months or so but after that they need a solid game plan for our windows and being able to line up park days so we have a chance with cash packages once things pick back up again. I personally feel we r going to be dealing with this system for a few years but that’s a whole other subject. They need a plan. A multi billion dollar corporation should have a plan. I get it’s bad right now I’ll give them a few months but after that don’t use covid as an escape goat.

Personally I feel anyone with a DVC stay should already be assumed to be spending each day of a trip in a park and those numbers be taken out of availability. If we don’t use them out them out there For the once in a life time visitors. I go a lot and a spend a lot each trip. I don’t go and try to save here and there.

I thought that I read, heard or saw somewhere that those of us with hotel reservations at a Disney property could buy tickets and thus reserve park reservations starting June 24th. It wasn't on an official Disney site, but I think it's worth a try. I was in a "virtual que" today for about 20 minutes so I could link my DVC stay to MDE. I wish they would make an official decision about moonlight magic in September, which would help me plan the park reservations if there are openings available. I've contemplated scrapping the trip this year, but my niece (who has a reservation next year) just received an email today regarding the rules for next year, which are the same as this year's. I'm sure they're not set in stone, but if there's going to be the same limitations next year as this year, I don't see a reason to change a reservation.

I can see why you'd feel that way, but park access isn't a perk of DVC and they don't have any special "dibs" on park access. You bought into real estate, and even though they dangle the carrot of park access, it's literally just the real estate that owners are entitled to. And EVERY group that spends a sizeable amount at Disney (DVC owners, UK travelers, AP holders, etc) has a reason why THEY should be guaranteed park access over other guests.

I get that. I know that. It is said 4 million times a week on here but it’s in Disney by Disney. Come on. Seriously. Just like they should take care of thier locals. Pass holders or not.
