DVC Split Stay and Dining Plan

I have a DVC Split stay for the first time where I am only using a dining plan for the second reservation. I understand that during the day of our resort swap we will be homeless without a room until 4:00PM, however can we check in early and utilize the dining plan for lunch or do we have to wait until 4:00PM to activate the dining plan?

Yes.

I suggest that you go to the front desk and check out from the 1st resort prior to checking into the 2nd resort. There have been issues in the past with split stays.

We check in early all the time to get access to our credits. I must admit I don't know when the credits show up if you check in early and put in an early arrival time. You'll still have to go to the front desk to get them changed early in all likelihood. You may lose access to the room you're in for the bands once you do so.
