DVC show on Travel Channel????

A couple of months ago I kept up with a thread that a fellow DVCer/DISer wrote about her experience with being a chosen family for the new DVC show. I can't find the thread or the lovely woman who participated in the filming. I am curious if they have been given any details of when the program will air? I am so looking forward to watching it and seeing the experiences that she described. TIA!

I'm the person you are looking for! I've been waiting to post the dates of the show until I have a finalized time and date. I just heard back from the production company this week. This is what the production company wrote to us...

"As of this moment, Disney Storybook Vacations, is set to premier on Monday, September 13. It will run several times a day on several cable networks as well as local broadcast affiliates around the country. When that exact schedule is finalized, I will forward you a selection of scheduled airings so you can set your DVR. Right now, the media buyers are negotiating exact networks and time slots, so I don't have that information available.

The show will run for approximately three weeks and then be pulled off the air. This is a normal practice for direct response television and will allow DVC the ability to adjust their operations and call center support accordingly. The show will eventually be brought back on air once all adjustments are complete".

So as you can see I can't report anything for sure yet. Unfortunately I'm leaving for Greece on Friday so I will miss the first show if it airs while I'm gone. I'll be back on September 17th. I'll check my e-mails while I'm away, and if I hear any specific times I'll let everyone know.

Just checked Cablevision's channel guide and it's airing on the Travel Channel today at 8:00 AM. I've already set the DVR to record it.

Forget it!! Program switch; I HATE THAT!!! There's some guy on now that can "count". I'll have to keep an eye out. But if the programming continues to change I'll never get to see it.

If anyone out there knows when it's really going to be aired please post!!

We live in the far Northwest suburbs of Chicago and it was on TVLand (through Comcast) at 6:00AM this morning. There wasn't an easy way to find it though. If the other thread hadn't mentioned it, I would have bypassed it altogether. It was labeled as "Paid Programming." We didn't know it was DVC until the program started.

We had to step away from part of it to get ready for work, but it was nice to see the new families and get a small Disney fix.

Congratulations to those families that got to participate... Very Cool!!!

I dvr'd the program...it was on the normal cable station and also in HD. I recorded both since we're having problems with our HD service. Went to play them today and the HD channel had the "'brain math infomercial". Went to the recording of the other station and Disney Storybook was located. Thought this was odd, but may be the case in some of your local area.

Oh...they really seem to be stressing offsite vacations here. I'd much rather use points onsite

That's what happened to me this morning. According to the Cablevision channel guide at 8 am it was suppose to air on the Travel Challel.. I DVR'd it but had the TV on in the bedroom while I dressed. And low and behold there was that "math guy".

Check the post someone was nice enough to post right above my earlier post and it has a "schedule" of when it's going to air. All we can do is hope it's valid!
