DVC Show in Rochester, NY

Did anyone go to the DVC Traveling Show in Rochester, NY at
the Strong Museum this past weekend ?

I didn't go either, but I too am interested to know how it went.

I went to the Sunday 7pm show that was targeted at current members. DD7 and I enjoyed the museum a little too much and was really too tired at 7pm to enjoy the presentation. We actually asked if we could do it in reverse order. Doing the back room first and then the presentation since I had to leave my older DD at home sick (she did call me every hour to explain how sick she felt!) It was nice if you wanted to go to a low pressure Disney sales show (which I did). They had a fun presentation in a small theater, room with some cookies and punch, CMs to answer any questions and take credit cards, and a meet and great with characters. It was nice. I really loved the Strong museum membership they were giving out!

We (DW, 15yo DD and 13yo DD and I) went to the Sunday night session of the DVC traveling show at the Strong Museum. It was actually fun. There was a sales pitch given by 3 CMs intermingled with videos of BLT, AKV and Adventures by Disney. They raffled several gifts (25 points, $100 Disney gift card, etc) and gave everyone in attendance an annual membership to the museum.

After the show / sales pitch they had a dessert reception that included wine and beer. We then met with a guide who went over the incentives for BLT and AKV that they introduced during the show/sales pitch. My wife convinced me that we needed a 100 point add on for BLT, which we signed up for. I can't believe I agreed given the economy, but happy wife, happy life.

All in all it was a good time, but the add-on proves that there's no free lunch (or DVC show).
