DVC Sailing Vouchers

Anyone who has used a DVC purchase incentive voucher...we used ours and are GTY for a Cat 5 sailing in October. We are 50 days out and still have no room number. Not sure if it is because of the voucher or what, but the ship is pretty full I'm told.

Anyone else use the voucher and when did you get the room assignment?

We used ours last Nov and didn't get our cabin assignment until around 30 days before the cruise.

I am sailing this month. Folks on our cruise who did a GTY and didn't use DVC vouchers did not hear until 45 days out at the earliest. They were antsy, but the earliest any of them reported their cabin number was at 45 days - maybe it doesn't matter if it is DVC vouchers or not.

We used one, and that is how we are going on our cruise at the end of September. We leave September 30th and were GTY and didn't get our room number until around mid-August. You should be expecting them anytime now. It was right at 45 days that we received the notification.

We are sailing on 10-23 using our DVC voucher but we received our room assignment at 90 days out. It was there when I went in to book Palo and excursions. We did pay for an upgrade so I don't know if that makes any difference at all. My in-laws still haven't received their room number for a cabin we booked for them using our points.

just curios how you got a cat 5? We are sailing Dec 5th and are gty cat 9

We sail Nov 4th using our DVC voucher and still have not gotten out cabin number. We also paid for an upgrade to a cat 7. Also curious how you got a gty cat 5.

Mine was also for a category on Deck 1 or 2, can't remember the exact category, but think it was 9. We paid for an upgrade to cat 5 on deck 6, but even so, we were still marked GTY until about 45 days before our cruise.

We paid for an upgrade. It was weird when I called in. The rep said we could upgrade to either a 5 or 6 for one fee and if we had 5 in the family we could get a 4 for the same price.

We picked Cat 5 since it seemed the best for the 4 of us.

How much did it cost for the upgrade if you don't mind me asking

We received a Category 9 for our incentive cruise - it was a 7 night. We paid $700 to upgrade to a Cat 6 GTY (family of 4). Then, when we got our assignment, we were upgraded to a Cat 4 (no charge there). Turned out to be a great deal.
