DVC Safari Spectacular......Surprise Party?

After calling for 3 hours and hearing busy tones, we got two tickets to the DVC Safari Spectacular Next Tuesday night (day after Labor Day). No new information has appeared on the member site other than what rides and attractions are not open or closing early.

At this point, I am assuming it is going to be surprise party! LOL

We'll be there with you. I know the party is full because we called last week to try to add a couple of people and couldn't. We plan to get there right at 7pm. I don't think we'll get the night time show on the water but hopefully they'll show the tree show.

I'll be happy to ride the safari and Everest. I'm guess we won't stay the entire time.

My understanding is the Safari ride closes at 10:30 pm.

Correct.

Kilimanjaro Safaris will close at 10:30 PM due to animal care. Some attractions will not be available during this Member event, including but not limited to: DINOSAUR, Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo – The Musical.

We have a two bedroom booked at AKL!
I went shopping over the weekend with my DD's for new outfits and swimsuits for our 3 day two night stay!
We have been to the MK and the Typhoon lagoon party's so we are supper excited for AK we haven't been in years!

I'm slightly worried about how we're going to get our tickets. We aren't staying onsite so have to pick them up at AK that night. Any experience with how that works?

If they do the same as with the MK events, there will be CMs with tablets that will look up your name and then issue the party specific wristbands. You will need your new Blue DVC Member ID card & Photo ID.

I am going on the 7th! I plan to be there around 7pm. There is supposed to be special transport from the resorts but I have no idea when it starts. The park is open until 9pm, so I would think we could take a regular bus from OKW around 630.

Complimentary transportation is available before, during and after the event between Disney's Animal Kingdom park and Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

For early admission, use regular bus location to Disney's Animal Kingdom park.

I'll be there on the 13th. I've had a girlfriends trip to AKV planned since last October and was thrilled to see one of these happening when we were there!
