DVC Safari Spectacular reservations????

Here's my note for the safari as it shows on my MDE itinerary. I just entered the event hours and my confirmation # for reference.

On the web site, go to the day you booked in your itinerary and click "Add Plans" at the top left, then select "Add a Note". Or, on the app, click the plus sign and then the hat with stars coming out of it, and then "Notes" at the bottom.

You'll be able to select the location (Animal Kingdom) and put in a description of what it is. I put "DVC Safari" as the short description and the confirmation number in the details box.

It'll then show up in your MDE itinerary.
I know how to add a note, but thanks for the tip. My point was unlike most other reservations which automatically appear in MDE or if they don't you can simply enter the confirmation number and it will populate the field by linking the reservation in the system. There will be no link in the system. Although it's treated like a dining reservation any information in MDE you put in totally on your own.

I was really surprised at not even being put into a queue this morning. It took about an hour of calling in before I got into the hold queue. I was on hold for 25mins. It took about 5 mins to get my confirmation for the event on the 13th of Sep.
It sounds like they are all caught up with the demand now. I wonder how many tickets are going to be issued for this event.

Just got off the phone with MS. The 9/22nd & the 9/27th Safari Spectaculars are fully taken.
The 6th & 13th ones still have tickets available.

I was able to book for Sept. 6th after being on hold for 30 minutes. I was told there would be several kiosks open for food and drink sales and some free refreshments and snacks would be served throughout the evening. Also, the nighttime safari will be running along with the rivers of lights show and most rides will be open. Can't wait! Keep trying, you will get through eventually.

According to the MS CM that I spoke with just a little while ago, JB will not start up again-- after ending on 9/4.
And ROL is not certain.
IF ROL is going to debut, they will announce it like 1-2 weeks before.
Sure hope they can get ROL going SOON!

So, we can enter the park at 7:00pm, but AK is currently shown closing at 8:00pm. The event starts at 9:30pm. So what happens between 8:00 and 9:30pm? Could we get in ride lines between 8:00 and 9:30pm?

I'm also still wondering what we'll all be doing from 10:30pm to 12:00am... with Dino, KS, and shows all closed... what's left? Primevil Whirl, TriceraTop Spin, Tough to be a Bug, and EE?

Anyone have any thoughts?

Knowing Disney, from 8-9:30pm the rides will be open for the event guests, and they will start denying entry to day guests, so a gradual switchover to the event. They're not going to just have us all stand there from 8-9:30, lol. Then it makes more sense for some things to close at 10:30.

Darn, I didn't get the email either and just found this thread. I called and they are completely sold out for the 6th. Hoping for some cancellations!

I'd just call a few times a day starting a few days beforehand. People always cancel.

I added the reservation to MDE using the NOTES section, but I think it's odd that it doesn't auto add itself. We are having dinner at Sanaa prior to heading over. I;ve heard you can check in for the event at the DVC desk at the resort?

Other events have had check in's at the resorts so it's likely this one will too. More exact details will likely be posted on the member website shortly before the first event - at least that's how the MK event went.

We going on Thursday sept 22
They just extended the hours for reg guests to 9 pm
We plan to enter at 7 but we do not need park tickets and some of us do not have park tickets for that day so how would those people book fasspass for the time between 7 and 9 ???

I asked member services and they said the six people with annual passes can but the two with out can not :-(
