DVC Safari Spectacular reservations????

After 154 tries (over an hour), I got put on hold and was thru in about 20 minutes. We got a res. for Sep. 13. The CM said EE and the KS will be running. KS will close at 10:30. Nemo and Lion King will not be showing. She wasn't sure what other attractions would be running. Special entertainment, cookies, chips and ice cream. Good luck everyone!

Called right at 9:00. Busy. Took about 20 redials before I got hold music. About 20-25 minutes on hold. Got tickets to 9/22/16 by 9:35.
You can enter park @ 7:00 PM (I have AP so doesn't matter to me). They said the reservation will pop-up in "My Disney Experiences" but that hasn't happened yet.

Yeah, got 5 tickets for the 13th! Wonder if they are only allowing people who have reservations during that time to book now as she had to verify my hotel stay before she'd book it.

I guess I'm lucky to be on hold for a complimentary event, but I'm seriously going to hunt down and find this woman that tells me to book disney dining online every 30 seconds. It may not end well for one of us.

Yeah, got 5 tickets for the 13th! Wonder if they are only allowing people who have reservations during that time to book now as she had to verify my hotel stay before she'd book it.

That was the deal with the typhoon lagoon event. I believe they open it to everyone at a later date (maybe 2 weeks later or so)

Well we were able to get tickets for the 6th but don't have a reservation until the 13th. We don't want to go the 13th because it's our last day and we have an early flight on the 14th.

Took about a million tries to get put on hold. Waited 30 minutes and booked 6 tickets for the 6th.

I was hold for 20 min and I was able to get booked for Sept 27.

After calling many times and getting the busy signal, I ended up getting through and was on hold for about 25 minutes but was able to book for the 27th as well. So excited!!!

Now I have to rearrange my dinner plans but thats okay by me. I have my 2 tickets to the event on 27th and couldn't be more excited.

The CM I spoke with said it WILL NOT show up in your MDE, that I would have to add it manually.

I did get 4 tickets for the 27th after calling 16 times over a 90 minute window, then was on hold for about 25 minutes. My friend, who will also be there, has been unable to get through on the phone during her breaks from seeing patients.

I got booked for the 6th. I didn't notice that food is included. Hopefully it's HUMAN food and not whatever it is they server at the buffets these days.

Do they normally have character meets at events like this? Wondering if Mickey and Minnie would likely be available to meet. Or anyone else. That would save me a FP on my AK park day. I'm not sure what to expect for this.

Oh really? The CM that helped me said they usually serve appetizers and possibly a buffet...vegetarian options are available. Either way I'm still happy but hopefully there will be more than just snacks.

I'd be fine with just light snacks. I mean, it is a complimentary event after all. At least it's not like a regular Disney dessert party where they charge me the full adult price for my 10yo DD, which includes unlimited alcoholic beverages, and my daughter is not even old enough to drink!!! How idiotic is that? At dessert parties like that, I think they should lower the price and just offer a cash bar. Either that, or offer an alcohol-free price point. Maybe have different wristbands for guests that paid the full price for included alcoholic beverages and a different wristband for guests who paid the lower price for no alcohol. My wife and I don't drink either. So, I'd much rather pay a lower price that does not include unlimited alcoholic beverages we are never going to consume.
