DVC room using RCI time share

Unless it has changed the code for Kidani looks more like this: 1BSTDSU or STSTDSA where the first two characters are the unit size, the next three are the view and the last two are the check in day. If you call Rci don't just ask them the view have them read you the code. They don't usually know what the codes mean and will just guess. Otherwise it will be printed on your confirmation email (not the auto-reply one).

still waiting on the email, but I called RCI 4 seperate times trying to get info from them and nobody could tell me anything!! I wil just wait for the confirmation email and call member services when I get the info. We booked it and I guess we get what we get!!

Go through the first step of releasing the match. You should get a unit code, which will either have SAV or STD in the jumble of letters and numbers. SAV is savannah view. STD is Standard.

I was really hoping that we would get lucky and get a savannah view. Really bummed out right now. So with RCI is my hopes over?? Can I ask the hotel if they can switch our room view or it is what it is??

Views at AKV are booking categories, not requests. There is also a cost difference between a standard and savannah view room. The chances of getting the resort to bump you up to a better view are virtually non-existent.

There are viewing areas you can use within the resort, so there will be opportunities to view the animals. But probably not from your room/balcony.

It's still a great trade. In my experience they won't even consider changing it. What you could do is request the area that is now standard that used to be savannah view.

I just logged into the RCI website, and couldn't find any of the WDW resorts listed (and I didn't put a date, just wanted to see what it was showing as available), but couldn't find them anywhere. Have the DVC resorts been removed from RCI? I had't heard anything about this, if that is what happened. Anyone know why I can't find them? Thanks in Advance!

They are there on the RCI side. They will not be shown on the DVC RCI link since Orlando including DVC are blocked for DVC members to trade back in.

Thanks! I went back to the site, and searched some more, and actually found it! Not sure why it wasn't showing up when I first checked, but I'm glad they are still there!
