DVC room question

We rented point from a disboard member a few years ago and had a wonderful room at the Boardwalk. Thinking about doing that again this year, but I'm curious about the rooms. The BWV and the BCV's all show that the villa standard room is a bed and a sofa sleeper. Is it possible to request a standard Boardwalk resort or Beachclub resort room with 2 queens and a sofa sleeper? When we rented points a couple years ago, we had a room at the Boardwalk with the 2 bed/daybed setup which worked really well for our family.

If anyone knows if we can rent points and have that type of room reserved, I would appreciate the info. Hoping we didn't just get lucky last time, :).

Thanks
Mark

DVC Studios (except at OKW) all have a queen bed and full sized sofa sleeper. Legally the DVC Villas annexes and the Beach Club resort or Boardwalk Inn are separate resorts that share some amenities, like restaurants and pools. Points can not be used for the standard hotel rooms, as they are not owned by the DVC.

You can rent points for Deluxe resorts that do not have a DVC attached - Poly, Yacht Club, GF. However, the points are high plus there would be a $95 reservation fee. It would not be cheaper than through CRO, especially with the 40%-45% discounts that are available for many dates.

I think you would have to go to a 1 BR at BLT, Kidani or a refured OKW villa. You would then have a king bed, pullout sofa and a sleeper chair. At BLT or AKV Kidani you would also have a second bathroom with that size villa.
