DVC room assigners sprinkle pixie dust!

Hi,
I helped some friends (6 adults and 4 children) with a reservation at the Boardwalk and the room assigners definately worked hard to get my requests met! First we had 2 standard view 2 bedrooms with request to be on high floor, close to the elevator and close to each other for 4 nights. And then, 2 months out (thanks to Delta and their ever-changing flights) my friend asked if I could add 1 more night at the beginning. I was shocked to be able to get one 2 bedroom standard view and a studio standard view. And then I requested if at all possible they not have to move out of the studio when the move over to the second 2 bedroom the next day. When they checked in the got their rooms on the fifth floor, short walk to the elevator, right NEXT to each other, fantastic view of Epcot fireworks AND they did not have to change rooms the next day when they converted to the second 2 bedroom! I knew and they knew that it was a long shot for all these requests to be met.
I see a DVC purchase in their future.

Nice to hear good news. You may want to contact member satisfaction and relay the story. I'm sure they often hear only the bad stuff and would welcome hearing some of the good.
 
That is great news! It is wonderful when all the requests are made. I've only been a renter so far and have truly been treated with royalty by the DVC owners and the CM's when I have arrived for my stays. Our last visit in Dec 2008 I requested close to elevator (due to brace on my foot), higher floor and large balcony at BWV boardwalk view. I got room 2001 which is the farthest from the elevator, only 2nd floor and tiny balcony. However, the CM worked wonders in getting my room changed to #3041 which was awesome. I definitely will be buying next Spring into DVC :thumbsup2

Glad they were able to work it out for you. I am pretty sure my friend is already looking at resales for BWV!
 

we are renting at AKV - Kidani Village in Septmeber and have requested a room close to the lobby with a view of the pool. When the owner called to ask about it, they said it shouldn't be a problem - she also told them that we have a 7 year old who LOVES pools and plans on spending alot of time there. Maybe that influenced them - keepin' my fingers crossed :)
