Just got an email from DVC regarding an interactive travel show to be held at the Seaport World Trade Center June 18 to 21. You have to register in advance for specific sessions and can bring up 5 people with you.

"We invite you and your family to play along during our all-new Disney Vacation Club show, Vacation As You Wish." "Mix and mingle with other members and share your favorite vacation wishes using state-of-the-art technology. You can also get an inside look at the newest rstor you can call "home." Plus, take advantage of special offers created just for this event."

Anyone know what the state-of-art technology is? Have they done this in other cities. I have signed up for Saturday, June 20 at 10:00 AM. There are other choices at 7:00 PM on June 18 and 19, 4:00 PM on Saturday and then two sessions again on Sunday at 4:00 and 7:00.

I am curious and hoping it will be fun for the family. I am happy to hear from others who may have been to similar events.

Do you have the phone number to call. I just called DVC to register and they know nothing about this. it sounds like a lot of fun.
Thank You,

We went to a similar one in February.
The state of the art technology is a Q&A session, where you answer questions on a keypad and the results show on the projector. It was a fun time. They had a room for the kids to play while we were there and then at the end they had some of the Disney Characters, a dance party and a dessert buffet (including rice crispy Mickey ears :cool1:).

Oh yeah, and it works...we added 100 points at BLT ;)

I got this email too and am wondering if it would be worth the trip. DH and I have been discussing doing a 100pt add-on. Wonder if there will be any incentives offered at this event?

He says we should just wait till we're at SSR at the end of the month but I'm curious....

:confused3

Hi

I actually registered to go on Friday the 19th at 7:00. My husband and I and my son are going. My question was do the kids HAVE to go in the "kids" area during the presentation? We are not too keen on leaving him with others who we do not know, even if this is Disney..

Thanks..

Woohoo, I'm going Saturday the 20th at 4pm, should be fun.:cool1:

I registered for the same time, and I KNOW my daughter will not go any "kids" area. She doesn't deal with strangers very well. I think she's old enough that it won't be a problem- she's 12. At her age, she'll be helping them get a sale out of me!

I got my DVC invite today and there are only 3 times left, none really conducive to dragging along a 3 year old (I must be on the B list ) - any thoughts on what the special offers might be?

A decent special offer plus the character dance party might make it worth foodging naptime for one day....
