DVC Ressies & Dining Plan

Okay so I am making my first reservation next week for my first trip home next Spring break. Was talking.....casually to member services about my points ( was messed up now fixed). Anywho, was talking about calling and making my reservations and splitting them so we could do dining plan only for last 3 days. The woman I talked to said no way no how can you do that!!!

Thought this was okay if I made two different ressies??

I don't see why not but you have to leave them as two separate reservations. You may have to leave the room and check out and then later check back into your new room.

You will need to change room types or resorts, if the reservations are for the same room type and resort they are linked and considered one stay for the purpose of DDP.

Interesting. Wondering if I can make ressies for OKW now for the full 6 night stay,then at 7 months see what I can do with those last three nights and add the dining plan then. Will they let me add it or do I have to do it with original reservation.

We are going to do Sea World & Aquatica those first couple of days, thus the not wanting dining plan.

If you cancel three nights from your OKW reservatoin, and book 3 nights at another DVC resort, it is two separate reservations. The dining plan can be added to either one, or both, what ever you wish.

You could even change say, from a studio to a one bedroom at the same resort, and get the dining plan for part of the stay.

With the new guaranteed booking category of "near Hospitality House" at OKW, you may be able to book part of your stay in that guaranteed category, then change to a room where you request another part of the resort, (like Turtle Pond or South Pointe) and book the DDP separately for those reservations.

Again interesting..... Unfortunetly, there are six of us so a 2BR is our only choice. But.....we could change areas like you mentioned.

Think I start with making ressies for two different parts of OKW, doing the DDP for that second ressie. Then see at 7 monthsif I can perhaps move us to another resort, just for fun, for the second part of the trip.

The DDP can be added or removed from a reservation as long as it's done 48 hours before checkin.
