We have gone in August the past 3 visits and we have gotten into BCV which isnt our home resort and it is packed most likely because of SAB.. What are my chances of getting into there for February (2013) Our home resort is AKV which we love and might just stay there for the trip but may add a few days onto BCV if possible.. How is the weather in February...? CANT BE MORE RAIN THAN AUGUST!

You have a pretty good chance of getting into BCV at the 7th mo. window as long as you don't choose to go President's week. It is very crowded then. We get a studio for that week and have to book at the 11 mo. window or we run the risk of not getting in. If you want a 2 BR, I would say that it might be difficult for that week. If you are going another week in Feb. you should be ok.

The weather is variable in Feb. Rain isn't a problem. We've gone weeks where we didn't have a drop. The thunderstorms everyday in the summer doesn't usually happen in Feb. We have been there in Feb. where they had frost and you needed a jacket and gloves (and we're from the north!) And we've been where we've been in shorts and tees and been in the pool. It is usually comfortable, shorts or capris and tees and a light jacket or long sleeve at night.

Thanks for the post.. Yes I have to go Presidents Week. Its school vacation for me (also from up North, Ma.) and being a school teacher I have limited time to choose from.. Christmas week.. Feb ...Apil ... or summer. I dont like the idea of frost and gloves.

You can always give a try and get on a wait list. I have had excellent luck getting into BCV at the seven month window, even during food and wine. There are obviously no guarantees, but it is worth a shot!

I am a teacher also, so I understand. Feb. weather is hit or miss. We having been going down every year for the last 5-6 years and overall the weather is usually a nice break from our rotten winters. But if you have your heart set on pool weather, you are better off with Easter/midwinter break. That is when the weather is perfect in my opinion, not humid hot like the summers and not as variable as Feb. However, the crowds are very heavy (although it is getting quite heavy in Feb. now too).
