DVC resorts & birthdays

I was just wondering do any DVC resorts do anything special for your birthday besides give you birthday buttons?

Maybe some balloons and a card delivered to the room, friends got that for their anniversary. But I really wouldn't expect too much, unless you are paying for it.

Many years ago we were able to order a Mickey cake and have it delivered to our OKW room, it came with noisemakers, plates, plasticware and balloons. We paid for it (I think $35, but it was the early 1990's). Member Services arranged it for us.

We stayed at OKW for my milestone birthday with friends. They gave me a nice card and balloons. But when I made the reservation and had to give the guest list (it was several people) she asked what was going on. So I told her and I guess she told the desk at OKW. I thought it was very nice and I was surprised. But I would never expect it again.

We were at AKV Kidani last week and it was my daughter's birthday as well as my husband's. We came to our room one afternoon to find a birthday card from Mickey and a special photo pass card. And a cute wash cloth" cupcake". Unexpected and appreciated.

I also got the Mickey Birthday card, Photopass discount and a towel cake complete with candles on the bed when we returned to our room. Completely unexpected and yes I did state what we were celebrating on my reservation. Also got a message on the phone from our Guide telling us to have a great time. We were at Kidani.

Did not get anything, not even a birthday button on my 40th and it was entered on my reservation.
