Hi all!

Thinking of purchasing DVC and have a really, really, really silly question.

One of the things I loved about SSR this last trip is that at the Grandstand Pool they had a refillable mug station at that pool. We loved this pool since it was considerably less crowded than the main pool yet I could easily get up and get a refill while staying at the pool a long time. Kinda silly, but I really loved this about the resort. Also we are big on a decent food court and refillable mug station. (Which is why we are thinking of shying away from BWV"S)

So my question is, which DVC resorts have refillable mug stations at the main pool and/or any of the other quiet pools? And which ones have decent food courts (so that we could get a sandwich or hot breakfast)

Thanks so much!!

As for food courts - only VWL and AKV really have a counter service facility, but not really a food court. BWV has very few counter service facilities. BCV has the Marketplace, but the choices are limited. OKW has Goods to Go and it is very limited. All have a nice tableservice restaurant.

Refill locations - BCV=Marketplace, Hurricane Hannahs; VWL = Roaring Forks; AKV = Mara; OKW = Goods to Go; BWV = Boardwalk Bakery

It really doesn't make much sense to get the refillable mug at a DVC resort when you have a good sized refrigerator to fill with your favorite beverages. Unless you are going to spend a lot of time at the main pool.

Thanks Deb!

One question. Can you refill your mug at the pool at the BWV? At the Boardwalk Bakery can you refill it or do you have to wait in line for someone else behind the counter to refill? Do you ever forsee a time when they will put a quick to go type service at the Boardwalk. I really love this resort except for this one thing. Oh well!! Thanks again for your input.

OKW has their refill station outside of Goods to Go now - used to have to wait at the counter - very handy when at the pool:thumbsup2

AFAIK, you can get your refills at the Pool Bar.

For the Boardwalk Bakery, you still have to wait in line and the person behind the counter will give you the refill.

We find it so easy to bring down our beverage choices ourselves to the pools while staying at DVC resorts. Whether it is soda, juice or water, it is very economical and part of why I love DVC. The mugs of course are available but if I hit the pool bar it is for a nice tropical beverage, LOL!

The refill stations at DVC resorts have the possibility of being SO FAR away from the room that we don't find it practical either. But we limit soda for our family - they get quite enough of it at WDW without drinking it by the pools.

I think Mara is one of the better Counter Service locations in a Deluxe, but Kidani won't apparently have a food court, just a sit down restaurant. Roaring Forks, BCV Marketplace, Boardwalk Bakery et. al. are definately not food courts - and all have, in my opinion very small and disappointing selections.

Thanks Deb!
